Built for Baddi, Himachal Pradesh

A filtration partner for Baddi, Himachal Pradesh's process industries

Baddi is India's largest pharmaceutical manufacturing hub by volume, home to major producers and a dense cluster of MSME formulators across the Baddi–Barotiwala–Nalagarh (BBN) belt. High-volume tablet, capsule and liquid-oral production drives constant equipment demand.

High-volume liquid orals

Baddi's large liquid-oral output uses the press to clarify syrups and suspensions reliably at production scale.

Generic formulations

Generic formulators across the BBN belt need dependable, low-maintenance filtration to keep high-volume lines running.

MSME pharma cluster

The dense MSME cluster values compact, easy-to-operate presses that fit tight plant footprints and modest budgets.

Local supply, service & spares

Being India-based, we supply, commission and service the Zero Hold Up Filter Press across Baddi quickly, with media, gaskets and spares support to keep your line running after installation.

Product Overview

What is the Zero Hold Up Filter Press?

The Zero Hold Up Filter Press is a horizontal-plate refinement of the traditional Sparkler Filter Press. Liquid is pumped under pressure through a stack of plates and filter media; suspended solids form a cake on the media while a clear, particle-free filtrate passes through. The defining advantage is in the name — the horizontal plate geometry channels and discharges almost the entire liquid volume, so very little product is trapped inside the machine at the end of a batch.

For manufacturers running expensive, potent or sensitive liquids — pharmaceutical formulations, fine chemicals, high-value food and beverage products — that near-complete recovery translates directly into higher yield, less waste and lower cost per batch. It is favoured wherever product loss must be minimised and filtrate clarity is non-negotiable.

Features & Benefits

Why manufacturers in Baddi choose it

1

Zero product hold-up

The horizontal plate design ensures efficient channeling and virtually complete discharge of the filtrate. For high-value pharma, fine chemicals and premium food liquids, that means dramatically less waste and maximum yield — significant cost savings on every batch.

2

High filtration efficiency & purity

Engineered to separate even the finest solid particles, the press delivers a clear filtrate that meets stringent purity standards — vital for pharmaceutical formulations, beverages and edible oils where quality and regulatory compliance are paramount.

3

Hygienic construction

Contact parts in Stainless Steel 316 / 316L (with Hastelloy and PTFE-lined options) and crevice-minimised assembly support clean-in-place practice and cGMP-grade hygiene for regulated production lines.

4

Easy maintenance & operation

Straightforward cake removal and simple cleaning reduce downtime between batches and lower maintenance cost. Units can be integrated with automated controls to cut manual intervention further.

Operation

How the filter press works

  • Preparation: Ensure the press is clean, the filter media is correctly sized, and pump and pipelines are sound.
  • Charging: The inlet is connected to the pump and the chamber is filled and pressurised with the liquid to be filtered.
  • Filtration: Liquid flows through the media, which traps solids and impurities; clear filtrate exits through the outlet.
  • Discharge: Once complete, the pump is stopped and the outlet valve opened to recover the filtered liquid.
  • Cleaning: Media is removed and cleaned, and chambers, pipelines and pump are washed for the next batch.
Salient Features

Built to perform, built to last

  • Versatile: Handles a wide range of liquids, including corrosive and hazardous media.
  • High efficiency: Removes impurities down to micron level for precise filtration.
  • Low maintenance: Minimal upkeep keeps it a cost-effective filtration solution.
  • Compact: A small footprint makes installation easy, even in tight production spaces.
  • Durable: High-quality materials withstand harsh operating conditions and long service life.
  • Automation-ready: Optional automatic controls improve efficiency and reduce manual work.

FAQs

Zero Hold Up Filter Press in Baddi — your questions answered

Do you supply the Zero Hold Up Filter Press in Baddi?
Yes. We supply the Zero Hold Up Filter Press to pharmaceutical manufacturers across Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh (the BBN belt), sized for high-volume liquid-oral and generic formulation lines.
Is a compact unit available for MSME plants?
Yes. Smaller SPX/BPE models suit tight footprints and modest budgets, while larger series cover full production — so BBN-belt MSMEs can right-size the press to their output.
Is the Zero Hold Up Filter Press the same as a Sparkler Filter Press?
It is a horizontal-plate evolution of the classic Sparkler Filter Press. Both use stacked plates and filter media, but the Zero Hold Up design recovers almost all of the liquid product from the chamber, minimising residue and product loss for high-value pharmaceutical and chemical liquids.
Which materials of construction are available?
Contact parts are offered in Stainless Steel 316, 316L, Hastelloy C-276 and Hastelloy C-22. Filter assemblies are available in Polypropylene (PP, PPH), PTFE, PFA-lined and ECTFE (Halar) coatings, so the unit can be matched to the fluid being processed and to cGMP material expectations.
What flow rates are available?
The range spans SPX Series 8 (400 to 1000 LPH) up to SPX Series 33 (14,464 to 31,821 LPH), with cake holding capacity from 2.9 up to 522.1 litres per batch — covering laboratory, pilot and full production scale.
